Reflecting on the 2014 Internet Retailer Conference

Earlier this week, the HookLogic team ventured out to the Windy City to spend time with our clients and industry friends at the 2014 Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE). The last time we sponsored the event was 2012, when our Retail Search Exchange was still being built behind the scenes. It was clear to everyone that a lot had changed since then.

  • New booth, new logos – As a marketer, I have a love/hate relationship with trade show booths. They can be expensive and tough to put together, but it is such a great feeling to see our company represented via such a big, visually appealing structure. We had a number of new logos added to our booth since 2012 (Target, WalMart, Hayneedle..the list goes on) illustrating our growing network of retailers.
  • A bigger team – We’ve grown, big time. New HookLogic experts at the event included Elizabeth Jackson, former client and current CMO and EVP of Corporate Strategy and Patrick Maher, Director, Retail Partner Development.
  • Partnerships and parties – HookLogic joined forces with Elite SEM and Corra to throw a rooftop cocktail party at Zed451. This was our first – and certainly not last – party at IRCE, and we’d like to thank our partners for joining forces to make it a great success.

We look forward to keeping the conversation going with the agencies, brands and retailers we met at the event. I have a feeling there will be a lot more logos to add to our booth artwork next year…
